This is an initiative of AIFF (All Indian Football Federation) to shape the future of the Indian football team. Blue Cubs came to act on 15 May 2024.

1. Elite Blue Cubs –
A program made under the Blue Cubs itself to give specially curated training for a few best-selected players between the ages of 9 and 12 years, where they will get more exposure than Blue Cubs as they will be going in the youth league. Not only that they will get a personal trainer who will see what more skills are required in a player and according to that they organize training and skill programs.
2. Root development –
Indian sports culture needs to be taught to the younger people first so if the root is strong the building will establish stronger. In India, the children population in 2024 is about 24% which is a good amount to create the next Sunil Chhetri. Even now in every school, P.E. classes are made compulsory to keep an eye on their health. In school, every student must take part in various sports available in their school to bring out the talented sports player.

To make the future Indian team ready Blue Cubs is hunting for talent in every region by developing centers in every town/city. Indian Arrows were established to nurture young players as this is a stage where young players get selected from youth to professional leagues. They get the chance to play against competitive teams just like FIFA or any international league.
4. Years to years gaming format –
This program has game formats according to the age of a group of young players to train them according to how much they can learn at that age. Children between 4 and 6 are at the age where they focus on every detail they are doing, this is why it is important to teach them about the sports beforehand to prepare them for the upcoming tough competition.
Then comes the 7 to 9 years old players when their schooling starts but no fun left at their young age so this is the chance when children can have fun playing and learning at the same time. Last year group was 10 to 12, and till this age, they are properly prepared to be a part of youth leagues.
5. Unfailing support –
AIFF, local businesses, sports brands, equipment manufacturers, schools, educational centers, government, coaches, and volunteers, all are supporting Blue Cubs with financial support and promotional opportunities so that no player under Blue Cubs faces any issue in their skill-growing phase. Am sure you haven’t, well this was a free fact for you! it was established in 1993, but later on, the name changed to South Asian Gold Cup in 1995 and became SAFF Gold Cup from 1997 to 2005. Finally, since 2008 it has been named as SAAF championship.
